I am in College, and am looking for a laptop in the $1500-2500 price point that can run modern titles, but also is capable of doing tasks with CAD programs. Does anyone have recommendations?

You won't really find a laptop with something like a quadro in it (you can, they're not great at all for gaming) unless you buy it custom made specifically for you, which would most likely end up being above your budget.

A 1070 will get the job done, as it is still a great card. You really won't be hindered much at all by it, at least I would think so.

Well I am not looking for the most cores. I have an i7 4790k at 4.7 ghz, which it was still having trouble with cad. I bought a quadro p600 and put it in my pc, that made the world of difference. So I'm really wondering if a laptop with a gtx 1070 would hold up in cad and gaming? I know the quadro and GeForce cards do way different things but I want to find a happy middle ground
