Now, this is probably the stupidest thing I have ever done. My poor, poor Lenovo 11e Yoga Chromebook...
A few nights ago I spilled Cherry Diet Coke on my laptop sleeve. Note, the laptop was not in the sleeve. I washed the sleeve in the washing machine and then put it through one cycle through the dryer. Using my hand to feel, I determined it to be dry and put the laptop in the sleeve once more.
The next morning, I take the laptop out of the sleeve and am in absolute horror when there is a sheen of moisture across the front of it. Like morning dew...but from hell. It was in sleep mode the entire time instead of being off.
My question is, did I do any damage to the laptop itself by doing this? I panicked and immediately opened it and was greeted by the usual sign-in screen. Everything seems to still work like normal and the user experience hasn't changed at all since then. I just want to know if it could have possibly harmed the battery or internal components.
