What GPU should i upgrade to?

I currently have a Gtx 960 2gb installed with a fx8350 black edition, 16gb ram on a msi 990 gaming motherboard. I want to increase my FPS on games like PUBG and Ark. I heard a 1070 would be good but, would that be the best fit with what i already have in my case?

I heard pubg is cpu intensive. But even with a better cpu don't expect more than let's say 20-30 fps at 1080p ultra settings. Especially with that old GPU. You should really consider upgrading your motherboard and CPU. But yes. In the long run you'll still benefit a whole lot more from that new GPU. And ark is highly GPU demanding too. I barely played it on epic with my old 980ti
