HI, the PES 2018 and Fifa 18 demo came ut recently. I am using a GT 610 with 2gb DDR3 so both are pretty much unplayable. I have an old GTX 580 which I remember being faulty about a year ago. When I played games with it, the screen would go back and the audio would continue until it eventually fades off. I never found out what caused it, but I'm hoping that it was just a heating problem (I never used to clean my case so the dust was horrific).

Do you think it's worth the effort to get it out and try and use it again? This would require me to uninstall the drivers and that and there's no guarantee that it would work.

You do realize that with higher tier products/hardware there is a need to feed that higher tier with more power, right? That being said, what is your full system's specs?
List them like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU: (both old and new)
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor + resolution:

That PSU managed to hit the power supply lemon list here: http://johnnylucky.org/power-supplies/psu-lemon-list.html That said, I'd try the gtx580.

Know that a $70 gtx 1030 is almost no power, and is 7X or 8X faster than your current video card. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GT-1030-vs-Nvidia-GeForce-GT-610/m283726vsm7736 so I would not go crazy replacing parts trying to get the GTX 580 (good card) working.
