CPU temps are not like how it used to be

Hello everyone. Last week when I fled Irma I didn't want to leave my PC in my apartment, so I decided to take it with me.
When I came back everything was fine with my PC, I just had to reinstall the heatsink fan, after switching my PC on, I noticed the CPU temps are jumping in a weird manner.
So I decided to remove the heatsink, reapply the thermal paste and installing it again. I did that and my temps don't spike up now, but now when I game or do anything, the CPU temp go up.
I know this seems weird but I remember doing the same exact things and my CPU temp is always on idle (30c).
Now it reaches 60c while gaming. I just got the chance to use my PC for couple of days before Irma was announced to hit Florida, so maybe i'm wrong about how my PC performance was.

Solution
60°C while gaming is fine (80°C also isn't an issue); is your ambient temperature the same as before and what was the CPU temperature while gaming before Irma? It probably was very close to what you see now.

The idle is 30c and when gaming it reaches 60c. I know it sounds weird because the temps are completely fine it's just not like how it used to be.
