Need Advice on New GPU

I bought a computer from an estate sale a couple months ago and it's turned out to be quite a deal, it was a pretty high end machine back in 2010. Had a couple of Radeon HD 5970's and an original Thermaltake Level 10 case which I have all sold. Now, I have taken the motherboard, an Asus P6X58D premium with an i7 980x chip with 12G of ram out and placed it into a new case with the Thermaltake 1200w PSU, as the level 10 was too big for my room. Can anyone advise me on a complimentary GPU for this setup, I was thinking about a 1060 6GB, but would consider anything. Thanks for any responses!

Thanks, I did a comparison with a couple of chips that were not bottlenecking and my i7-980x chip should be fine, its old but it was a $1000 chip in its day with 6 cores. Just need to figure out which one to get..
