PC Shutting down randomly!

So I've discovered that I can run my pc for hours on end just using google chrome but as soon as I launch PUBG (Steam Game) my PCs power completely cuts and it continues to restart but fails.

My thoughts are that it is an issue with the GPU due to the fact that PUBG is a GPU stressful game.
The one thing that I can't figure out though is that before it took like 5-10 minutes for my pc to shut down and now it is instant.

I have already reseated the ram, GPU and all of the connectors.

Sounds like a PSU problem. Look at the nameplate on the side of the PSU and tell us the Make/Model.

Sorry, too late already sent the computer in. I do want to ask, how is this related to the PSU? Is it just that PUBG is a GPU stressful game, so when it is launched it requires more power from the PSU, but the power just can't be supplied because of the faulty supply?

The GTX 980 is a 165W (TDP) card. It can consume even more than that when heavily loaded. Likewise, your 91W CPU can peak above that at times. And if you have OC'ed anything, the load on the PSU can skyrocket. Gaming can sometimes be the most load-inducing software we run (depending on certain factors).

If the PSU is under powered or poor quality or both, it may shut down when over-loaded. It may also die, hopefully not taking something else out with it. Even an adequate PSU of good quality can age and fail. Was the GTX 980 the card that came with the PC?

Was this a Cyber Power built PC? Because their PSUs used to be crap. Can't say about today. They may have improved. But I still suspect you need a better/stronger PSU with a power hog like the GTX 980. Btw, I have a GTX 980 in one of my gaming PCs.

Yes, but I had the PSU replaced.

Btw just a random question is a 1060 as good as a 980?

The GTX 1060 6GB is darn close depending on the screen resolution you game at. Some would say better since the extra VRAM can make a difference in some games.

Bottom line: you probably can't tell the difference. And it does it using far less power.
