Title says it all. For example, wd blue 1tb 7200 rpm goes for 50USD on Amazon, but only 43USD in Hong Kong. AMD Ryzen 5 1400 goes for 160 on Amazon from amd, but costs 158 in Hong Kong. is this a scam?
but remember that many things are made in the 'far east', so they dont have import duty or tax applied to them. you pay that when it gets shipped to you. probvably wont save much at all.
Common for prices to be different, fx rates, taxes & import duties, consumer rights in each country and what the market in each country will accept. These are all things that effect price per country.
Aside from the issues mentioned, you may also have WARRANTY difficulties if a product fails, or spend too much shipping it back.
Also, if not in Hong Kong the SHIPPING COSTS for some of these products linked through Amazon are set higher than normal. I've seen shipping on a $50 item cost $50 for a total of $100 (plus tax).
