Screen goes black with "DVI No Signal" message forcing a restart

Hello, I'm not too sure if this is the right category to post in since I cannot narrow down what the problem is, but it seems like it is related to the graphics card. So the problem began recently on a computer that I built around 9 months ago. I'm sorry for all the info I'm giving but I'm just trying to give all the details to maybe give clues as to what the issue is!

The issue:

The first time this issue occurred was randomly while loading into a game. If I remember correctly the audio looped for less than a second (similar to what happens at a blue screen but much shorter) and then the screen turned black and showed "DVI No Signal" while the graphics cards fan sped up to max and stayed that way. The weird thing was that I could still hear the sounds of the game and call I was in after that, but the screen remained black and the graphics cards fan spinning too fast. This always forces me to restart my computer since it never comes back from this crash.

This issue has been happening at random times while using the computer such as while browsing chrome, changing pc settings, logging in or even at startup (basically any time really). However it seems to trigger the fastest when playing games such as Skyrim (within 5 minutes it crashes here) or League of Legends. It has been occurring more often now i think. This crash can now happen every single time after the windows 10 loading screen is finished, making it go into a loop that only stops when you turn off the dedicated graphics card and boot using the integrated one. One detail I have noticed (not sure if important) is that the GPU fan doesn't always max out when this crash occurs.

What I have tried so far:
- Reseating the GPU in the slot
- Moving the GPU to the other PCI-e slot
- Using a different GPU that drew power through the motherboard not through a 6-pin connector (this did nothing and a similar crash occured, however instead of DVI No Signal it was a fast colour changing scrambled screen)
- Testing each RAM stick individually
- Uninstalling and downloading the most recent graphics driver from both the windows repository and from Nvidia
- Flashing the BIOS to a newer version
- Clean install of Windows 10

None of these attempts have stopped the problem and it still seems to happen. The only time that it doesn't seem to happen is when turning off the GPU in device manager and using the integrated graphics. I am really running out of ideas for what could be causing this and how to fix it... The only things that I could think might cause it is a PSU problem of some sort or some software issue (maybe running in Ubuntu and seeing if the crash occurs could help?). The weird thing is that it seems like such a simple issue since I think it must be something to do with the GPU due to the DVI No Signal message and the computer still running in the background but i just cannot figure out what is causing it...

PC Parts:

Any help would be so so greatly appreciated... I have been trying to fix this for so long and nothing seems to work at all. Thank you all so much!

Solution
You've tried pretty much anything I would immediately think of.
There are only a few things I can think to try.
Try another connection to the monitor. Something other than dvi. I don't think it'd cause the kind of instability you're talking about but as you're running out of options, I'd still try.
It could be the PSU, but that would require taking it into the shop and testing if the voltages are still within allowed tolerances.
It most likely is the card but not sure what you could do about it.
Are you overclocking it in any way? Install HWMonitor and check where the temps, utilization and clocks are and whether the fans are spinning.
You can contact the manufacturer as it's a fairly new card and see if they have any ideas to try...

Wow I tried changing the connection to the monitor from DVI to HDMI and it actually worked.... To be honest I really did not expect it to work but for some reason it has stopped the crashes and the computer is running like normal again! I'm not sure but I think this is an early HDMI cable because it doesn't support anything over 60Hz 1080p but it is working well otherwise. Thank you so much for your help, I can't believe it actually worked!

It could be your monitor's connection is old version of hdmi (if monitor is pretty old) and it could be the cable, not sure, but yes you're right, early hdmi supported only relatively low resolutions, something that has been resolved since.
