Is this a safe position for the cable?

Hello, I'm building my first pc and I encountered a little problem. There isn't a hole in the upper part of the case for the 8-pin cpu power cable and the cable is too short to route it through the right holes.
I solved the problem routing it from the bottom, but I'm not sure if it's safe leaving it under the vrms heatsink.

Should I leave it as it is or buy an extension cable?

Solution
I don't think that's a good place to route that cable. The VRMs get hot(hence the heatsink), and can easily melt that cable to rubbery goop right onto your motherboard. Hopefully you didn't switch on the PC yet. Don't route it there.
