is my dimm slot dead

When I put RAM in the correct DIMM slot, A2, and B2, or the second and fourth slot, the debug LEDs for the ram sticks says no memory, but it does detect the CPU. only one 4gb stick of Ram.

Try update the BIOS or the chipset driver first. Then use the RAM, if the MB still does not recognize the RAM, and if you know the RAM works, also if the RAM are from the same Kit, that means the dimm slot has problem.

The computer won't even boot into the system bios or even post, and it's not detecting the ram
