Hi,

My computer powers on but it will not start up unless I remove a stick of ram (any). I've run memtest86 (no errors) and I updated the BIOS. I had this problem a year ago but it went away and I was able to use all 4 sticks of ram without problems until now. Yesterday, the issue reoccurred, but the computer worked all day after I reset one stick. Today, I can only get to windows if I completely remove any one of the 4 sticks.

My motherboard is GA-Z97X Gaming 5 (gigabyte) and I am running Windows 10 64 bit.

Thank you.

Are all sticks identical?
If not, one type of RAM will die or stop working. I had to throw 16 GB to a friend because it wasn't compatible with my new RAM at better clocks (best clocks and speeds for my specific CPU).
