HDD making read/write sound every 30 seconds

Hi, guys!
I recently added two Seagate drives to my PC (8TB Skyhawk) and there's something weird going on. Both of the drives are making a sound similar to what read/write operations sound like, but a bit louder, maybe more like a head on startup, but doing a single "click", if that makes any sense. Sound occurs every 30 seconds - with a stopwatch.
I tried swapping ports and cables, nothing. Then I booted in safe mode and disks were working silently, so I'm guessing this has something to do with Windows 10...
Disks are running a bit hot (45°C), but within spec and other than that all parameters are fine.
Any idea what could this be?

Hello, Vicvega1. Sounds like your have some settings in the APM, Advanced Power Management feature that is causing this. It is a feature in most hard drive nowadays for purposes such as to save energy and power consumption by regulating the performance of the hard drive. Sometimes the APM can be disabled, you may be able to accomplish this by using a software utility called HDDScan. http://hddscan.com/
The only other thing I can think of right now is your PSU or power supply for the system may not have enough power to sufficiently power the new hard ware. You can maybe check this by using a another power rail plug that is going to your hard drive to power it.

Was thinking "power management" as well and looked it up in crystaldiskinfo, but for some reason it's all disabled (meaning no changes can be made). I'll try some other software, maybe the one you linked.
PSU's fine, it's an 850W and still has a lot of headroom.
Thanks for the reply.
