H110i with i7-7800x

Hi,

I'm getting the i7-7800x and am interested in the corsair H110i water cooler. Will this water cooler suffice and keep the CPU at temps below 40 C?

Also, what mobo in the Asus and Gigabyte family would be best for the i7-7800x?

Yes H110i will cool it just fine. It will even allow for a good overclock, probably to around 4.5-4.7 GHz. I would pair it with an ASUS X299-A, which is a nice baseline board with all basic features you need.
