is my PC 4k ready?

thinking about getting a 4k monitor for christmas, how well do you think my PC will run games like fifa 18, star wars battlefront 2, cod ww2, battlefield 1 etc.
PC SPECS:
i7 6700k @4.5ghz
msi gaming x 1080 (slight oc)
8gb ddr4 ram @3200mhz (upgrading soon)
if you dont think my pc is 4k ready at high-ultra settings for next years games then would a 1440p monitor be a better choice?

Definitely not enough power to run games consistently @ 4k on Ultra. You may be scratching around 60 fps on some titles, but overall this build is ideal for something around 1440p. I dont believe ANY build can really push 4k where it really needs to be (any realistic build anyhow). Your build will play wonderfully on an ultrawide @ 1440p.
