Headset recommendation, please !

Good afternoon !

I want to buy a good wired headset. I will use it for gaming more than listening to music. The budget is about 150$. I don't want to buy an external audio card because I am not a pro in gaming, nor an audiophile. If I want music or movies I turn to my MicroLab 9C speakers.

My MO is ASUS STRIX Z270E GAMING with the Audio Specification: ROG SupremeFX 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC S1220A

I want to use the headset in FPS like CS:GO and PUBG.

I was interested in the Corsair Void PRO, but from reviews Hyper X are better.

I've found the following price tags in my country:

HyperX Cloud at 64$
HyperX Cloud 2 at 90$
HYPERX Cloud Revolver S at 140$
HYPERX Cloud Revolver at 117$.
Corsair Void Pro Surround Dolby 7.1 at 110$

I've also read reviews stating that 7.1 surround that comes with the previously mentioned headset don't do much.

Can you help me decide and give me further advice ? Thank you !

I have been gaming for decades and used all kinds of name brand headsets. For the past several years I have been using Turtle Beach Earforce X12 [ XBOX 360 ]. It works on PCs, the only differences being it has a longer cable [which I need] than the PC only version. The PC only version has a very short cord.

It's ear cups go over the ears, not on them. It has BASS control, microphone input volume control, earphone output volume, and a switch to shut off the microphone if you do not have a voice program set up to use a button on the keyboard to push to talk. - So, everyone in your home or outside noise will not be heard by other gamers.

I have the HyperX Cloud 2 and I absolutely love them. The surround 7.1 helps so much in CS and PUBG that I can locate where people exactly are from the direction of gunshots or footsteps. They are high quality with a metal frame and comfortable with their memory foam ear pads. It has a braided cable for protection and a usb controller for stereo and 7.1 sound. I highly recommend.

If you are not an audiophile they are outstanding. I have damage to my ears caused during the Vietnam War. The sound quality of my headphones is better than my speakers - except the bass on my speaker system subwoofer is very deep and loud when playing games like World of Tanks or World of Warships when large guns are shot.

It uses a mini headphone jack, a mini microphone jack and a USB port for power, all fit in PCs. [This is a powered headset.]

I prefer a cord that is too long [I simply tie it in a neat bundle] over a cord that is too short.

I think I paid $54 U.S. at Best Buy
