My windows 10 desktop can't see any other devices on my network. (All windows 10)
Cable modem: Netgear CM700
Router: TP Link AD7200
ethernet cable: Cat6
Switch: TP Link model TL-SG1005D
Mothernoard: ROG Crosshair V Formula
LAN: Intel Ethernet Gigabit LAN

Laptops: New Dell Inspiron 15-3567 Win 10
Network adapter: Qualcomm QCA9377 802.11ac wireless adapter

Facts: My laptop is using a wireless network named: TP-Link_D374
My desktop is using an ethernet network named: NETWORK
My wife's desktop is using an ethernet network named: Network 6.
Every device is on the same homegroup. Same password. All library and folders are "shared" on all devices.
All devices are set to "discoverable".

The laptop and the wife's desktop can each other on the network.
My desktop cannot see any other device on the network and vice versa.
Everyone can see everyone on the homegroup. Accordingly, we can print to any printer.

Question: Do I need to change my network name in order to see the other devices?
If so, why can my wife see the laptop (and vice verrsa).? They are using different network names also.
As I recall, I didn't type in any network names when I setup the network. I let Windows 10 do all the auto setup work.
From my desktop, I can access the TP Link router.

Solution
Make sure the workgroup name is the same on all the systems (not just the homegroup, there is a workgroup name also). Check the IP address of the computers, do an IPCONFIG /ALL command on all the systems from a DOS prompt, the first 3 digits of the IP should be the same and the Subnet Mask and Gateway should be the same for all of them.

If that does not work, find the hosts file in C:\Windows\Etc\Drivers directory, add the IP addresses to that file at the end followed by a space and then the computer name of the systems. See if that works.
