RAM issues on Gigabyte GA Z97P D3

So I'm using an i5 4460 on a Gigabyte GA Z97P D3 with GSkill RipjawX 2133 memory.. I can use 2 out of 4x4GB sticks in slots marked 2&4 perfectly at 1600 or 2133 but 1&3 don't work in any combination. If I use ram in either of those slots then it continuously resets after 10 seconds or so and I can't even enter the bios. I don't really have any idea about memory timings or overclocking so I don't know if it's a motherboard issue, something to do with the ram or my bios settings? The mobo and cpu can supposedly support 2133 memory so I'm not sure what's happening. Any more info then please ask

Bent or broken pins in CPU socket from improper installation of CPU can cause RAM slots not to work.

Before removing CPU, I would clear CMOS on motherboard and try again. If CPU socket and CPU pins are okay, I would RMA the motherboard if you still have any time left on the warranty.

check to see if any stick works at 1600 speed in the other two slots. if it posts and runs fine you might have to raise the ram voltage. with two ram stick the ram voltage is fine. with 4 the voltage may be to low. causing the ram to be unstable also make sure the mb has the newest bios updates.

Thanks for the quick reply guys. Part number (I think) is F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL.. I've tried one stick at 1600 in all slots and the two furthest from the cpu which is 1&3 fail to boot and goes into the continuous loop. One stick works no problem in the two closest to the cpu. I have noticed in the bios settings if I go into memory sub timings there are no values at all in channel b, whereas in channel a there are some there even when the stick is in a channel b slot? The stick works in marked slot 2 which is channel a and in marked slot 4 which is channel b

Sorry got that completely wrong.. slot 2&4 are channel A and the other two are channel B, and in memory status in the bios it just says N/A. Could it be to do with the motherboard not picking up channel B?

This is a dual channel 2x4GB kit.
Rated specification is 2133MHz
Tested Latency 11-11-11-30-2N
Tested Voltage 1.50v~1.60v

The above is what it is supposed to run at.

SPD speed (what it runs at on Auto settings) is 1600MHz.

Combining multiple kits is not guaranteed to work. You are free to do your own compatibility testing. As posted earlier:

Supported memory: DDR3-1333, DDR3-1600

Okay so you can't use two 8GB kits and have them work together kinda thing? Sorry I'm new to this.. so would I be better off getting a 4x4gb kit or a 2x8gb kit, or just buy 4 separate sticks?

Tried the new ram, still the same problem.. they just don't work in channel b, is there any other defining factor that would stop the ram from working with my system? Model number is F3-12800CL9Q-16GBZL. Only difference I can see is I bought the ripjaws z series.

Took my motherboard out and removed cpu and there were a few bent pins! No idea when they couldve gotten bent but tried to bend them back to no avail. Ordered new motherboard and all the ram works in all slots now. Thanks for all your help
