Hard disk problem on new HDD?

I have two 1TB SATA hard drives installed, one is new (got it yesterday) and the other one is fairly old and has been failing for awhile. Both of them have windows installed however I'm using the new HDD to boot up. Upon booting up, DFDWiz.exe pops up and gives a message saying ""Windows has detected a hard disk problem". When using the old HDD to boot this message would pop up frequently, but on this new HDD with a fresh install of windows the message is still popping up.
Both of the hard drives are plugged in; I just want to make sure that the hard disk problem is with the old hard drive and not the new one. I ran Seatools and the new drive passed the S.M.A.R.T test.
So my question is; is the coast clear? If my secondary SATA drive is failing, will DEFWiz.exe still say the drive is failing even if the main drive is fine?

Most likely it detects the old one. But in your case I'd disconnect the old one and then see if the message still popes up.

You can also check it with these programs; HDDlife, Acronis Drive Monitor or CrystalDiskInfo

Yeah that was probably the simplest way to check. Unplugged the drive and am now using the new HDD only. DFDWiz.exe is not popping up so it's probably safe to say that the hard disk error is from the other drive. Thank you for the help!
