Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out whether it's my mobo or cpu thats dead. My pc has started to not turn on when i press the power button. I've unplugged all wires and tested the psu with a paperclip so i know that works. I unplugged the front panel, GPU and fans and left 1 stick of RAM in. Still no luck. I was told it could possibly be the CMOS battery but i replaced that too to no avail. So im currently stuck trying to figure out whether its my mobo or cpu not working. I dont have a mobo speaker so i was wondering, if i plug a fan into the mobo and attempted to power the mobo using a screwdriver to touch the 2 pwr pins, will the fans still run if the cpu doesnt work or isnt installed?
