I am planning to change my ram frequency and whenever i go to bios and to the setting where i will enable a-xmp(msi) i would like to know if i should use and the 1st profile or the second

Solution
Very nice pc.:D

The latest bios has improved memory compatibility written with it so first get the latest bios and flash that. Use the method that uses "M-Flash" in the bios,is the first one described.

Also get the latest drivers from the manufacturers site for at least the chipset, lan and audio, but the sata is the only other choice so include those as well.
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350-PC-MATE#down-driver&Win10%2064
select your windows version and download the drivers.

oww i was planning to run my ram at 2400 because whenever i pick prof 1 its default freq runs only at 2133 however when i pick the 2nd prof its default freq runs at 2400 and its cl and voltage is the same as the ram advertised info.. if i pick prof 2 do i still need to change something to it or should i just leave it at its default? becuase i only want my ram to run to its advertised specs

If profile two gives the right just just use that one.:) Normally though profile one is the one people use, that's all. ;)

What ram are you using? A partnr would be nice or exactly what you have.Like to know the psecs of it to see why profile one gives 2133mhz. You can also post a picture of the spd tab of cpu-z (freeware).

Can use Imgur to post a picture here, use the "img" link.
Click "new post" ->choose "upload images" -> "browse" ->choose the picture and click "open" ->put cursor on the picture that you uploaded->choose "share links" and copy the img link in your next post.

well in other am4 motherboard in their bios when you enable xmp they also give you two choices which are the prof 1 and 2, so if i choose the prof with 2400 mhz do i need to increase its voltage?

so its ok if i just follow the advertised freq, volt, etc? or in otherwords should i just follow the default settings when i chose prof 2?

A few times i don't think so,but does it do that? Maybe with this motherboard manufacturer they made it that way to change settings in the bios.
It does start into windows after this? Settings are changed in cpu-z? Or the bios ...
Just one beep is normally good btw.
