Bitcoin Craze and my RX 480

I have a pretty simple question. Around mid January earlier this year, I build my first gaming rig and picked up an RX 480 GAMING X 4GB for $155 along with a free copy of Civ VI. Pretty sick deal. Later on I saw these GPUs skyrocket in price during the bitcoin craze, but didn't think much of it. I have had multiple people tell me I could have actually sold my GPU for $350+ a couple months ago, during the peak of the craze, and others tell me they sold there 4GB RX 480 for $400. Could I actually have sold my GPU for that much just 2 months ago? Were these GPUs actually selling consistently at this price or was this just what people were asking for them? Any information would be nice. Thanks in advance.

The RX470-580 were consistently sold-out for months even at nearly double the MSRP for months due to Ethereum mining. Many models are still listed at roughly twice their MSRP on the new market if not more, I see no reason to doubt that even used ones could have fetched such prices during the peak of the Ethereum gold rush - when there are none available on the market due to miners buying them by the truckloads to the point of even commissioning their own planes to fly the cards to their mining farm, people who have them in stock get to name their price.

So should I feel bad for not selling my GPU and making a potential $250 profit and picking up something like a GTX 1070 with the $400? Don't get me wrong, I love my RX 480 and have been very happy with it but I cant help but feel like I missed out, big time. Seems like that's always my luck lol. And yea I looked up the price for my GPU and its still around $450. Good thing I bought it when I did.

Sorry I will close this thread after this last question. Just wondering, what would you have done personally? Would you have sold the GPU or kept it?
