Honestly I don't see why it wouldn't BUT there are cases where it won't. Worst case scenario though just take out the 2GB stick if they don't like to play nice and just run the 8GB stick until you can get another 8GB stick.

By not playing nice I meant that some sticks of RAM when paired with dissimilar sticks (even the same brand) will not overclock on your board, or worst case scenario the motherboard will not post. The easiest way to solve that would be just taking out the 2GB stick, resetting the CMOS and rebooting.

You would need to look up a list of supported CPU's for your EXACT motherboard because I could not tell you without knowing what motherboard you have and who it was manufactured by. If you provide me with the information of what motherboard you have and what cpu you are talking about that is AM3, I can try my best to help.

id say over 95% of the time unmatching RAMs will work together. however, the other day i paired 2x2 1333 mhz G.skill with my current 2x4 1600 mhz G.Skill Aries RAM and i started running super choppy. I knew something was wrong right away when my boots time was almost quadrupled. Idk why this happened, but it was very obvious.

if you install and everything seems fine from boot i would recomend doing some simple stress tests on you own (without downloading software). a good way to do this is think of times you are able to produce system lag with your current set up (ie, heavy gaming, multi tasking, video editing, etc.) put this same demand/workload on your new setup and determine if its faster or slower for yourself...

Yeah this is one of those few cases where we would recommend an FX processor over something else because it does perform a bit better (probably for a bit cheaper)
