Everything was working fine less than 24 hours ago. This morning when I turned on my PC everything looked to have opted as normal. On my monitor, running through display port, I was greeted with 'no signal'.
Since then I have
- Restarted my PC several times
- Tried a different cable (display port and HDMI)
-Tried a different monitor
All of which returned the same result of 'no signal'. The only way I can get a display on my monitor is to use HDMI from the motherboards it self (graphics cards is still plugged in). I have checked device manager which said that my graphics card is not connected (Code: 45), this is backed up by Nvidia GeForce, NZXT CAM, HWMonitor and EVGA Precision X.
I've made sure that my graphics card is securely in its slot, as well as making sure the power cable is plugged in tightly.
My PC specs are as follows
Intel I5 6600k
Hyper X DDR4 16GB RAM
EVGA GTX 1070
750w EVGA PSU
Gigabyte z170 HD3 motherboard
At this stage the only thing left for me to do is to take out the graphics card and test it in another system. Due to my water-cooling set up this would be rather time consuming, therefore I want to get a second opinion before I commit.
I would mainly like to know if there is anyway to fix this with software (I can't install drivers as it thinks that there is no graphics card connected).
If anyone has relevant information about my issue then it would be greatly appreciated.
