Guys I have
an i3 550
asus gtx 750ti Ph edition
8gb ram @ 133mhz

I want to squeeze a gtx 1050ti (it's about 11k or 12k INR)
please suggest a cpu and mother board
or is an i7 870 enough
I don't mind second hand deals for processor

i play a lot of open world games

Solution
*How much does the X4 950 CPU cost?

(it will perform similar to the R3-1200. It's single core is just slightly HIGHER, but total 4-core performance is a bit lower... thus should perform about the same at stock frequencies)

It's older architecture but is ported over to the AM4 socket so you have an upgrade path currently to as high as a Ryzen R7-1800X and possibly the ZEN2 if that is backwards compatible to AM4 (which it probably will be).

That still needs DDR4 memory, and I'd recommend an AM4 motherboard with:
- x4 DDR4 slots (use two slots now, and the others to upgrade to 16GB later)

Then populate with 2x4GB DDR4 3000MHz memory.

The i5-3470 is again a dead-end street and even used CPU's will be really expensive (best you can get...
Hi,
You can't just buy a new motherboard and CPU. You would need:

1) CPU
2) Motherboard
3) new system memory (i.e.DDR4)
4) new copy of Windows (i.e. W10 64-bit Home) as it's non-transferable to a new system
then
5) reinstall Windows, programs etc.

So...
If you can get an i7-870 it's probably your best option right now, though it will be below spec for some games. Hopefully you can overclock.

It's slightly weaker than an FX-4300, but still sufficient to hit 60FPS/1080p with many games (assuming the GTX1050Ti as well).

BTW, the i3-550 is exactly half the core/thread count of the i7-870 so probably bottlenecking even the GTX750Ti most of the time.

I suggest you consider getting the i7-870 (if reasonably priced) and play around with it (possibly overclock) and the game settings for a while, especially since it could fail as it is used so I wouldn't buy a new graphics card just yet.

DOOM (newish) is one of the best optimized modern games and with proper tweaking it would run well on an i7-870 + GTX750Ti.

ignoring the GPU, you can see it gets above 60FPS with an FX-4320 so it probably will look and run fairly well (i'd force on Adaptive VSYNC and assuming 60Hz monitor tweak so you drop below 60FPS less than 10% of the time)

it would PLUMMET with the i3-550 though you might hit 30FPS or so

NCP-> manage 3d settings-> add game.. (adaptive VSYNC) save

Thanks for replying guys
Idon't need to buy Windows 10 right away I'll stick with demo
And i have used Nvidia inspector it's pretty handy

I was wondering if a used i5 3470 or 3570 would be better that would avoid new ram requirement
And get gtx 1050ti

Or ryzen 3 1300 and new mother board with new ram (just over 20k) but
no gtx 1050ti

Which is better ?

That's a pretty decent build but
I prefer open world games Which are usually CPU intensive

And it didn't fit in my budget it's about 27k INR

Your budget is not sufficient for getting all the parts you need, though the closest you'll get is with the G4560.

A G4560 will not run all ONLINE (i.e. MMO) games at max settings but it's still the best you can do then perhaps upgrade the CPU later.

I'd rather recommend a Ryzen R5-1400 or better CPU (with 2x4GB 3000MHz DDR4.. no less bandwidth for Ryzen) but there's no budget.

For example THIS doesn't include the cost of Windows 10 64-bit (and I am told that recommending KINGUIN is not tolerated here at TOMSHARDWARE so I'm not doing that.... it's a grey area and the codes may or may not be illegal and may or may not be cancelled at some point...)

Anyway, the G4560 components come to about 28K:

I would recommend saving up for an R5-1600 though as that will get you a long life out of that CPU... maybe do that, then upgrade to a different graphics card as budget permits:

You could drop down as low as the R5-1400 (and overclock it to 3.8GHz if possible). I don't recommend anything lower.

Thanks for replying and i agree with you r5 1600 is the best all around gaming Procesor
But i just like to know
How good this will be

I5 3470
8gb ram @ 1333mhz
Grx 1050ti

Please it's my final request on this topic

It completely depends on the game, but for CPU-intensive games (i.e many MMO's, threaded games similar to AotS etc) you will be well behind the R5-1600.

Most games with that GPU would be similar or slightly favor the R5-1600. Though some games will STUTTER a lot more with the i5-3470.

Also, whatever you get make sure the system memory bandwidth is sufficient (such as 2x4GB 3000MHz DDR4 for Ryzen).

As photonboy said ^
i5 3470 is a good processor but it will not last for long, then soon again you will find yourself in a situation where you need to upgrade again like very very soon. so save some money now and upgrade later to the latest system.
