Hello there good people. I'm having a very confusing issue in my system. In BIOS, its shows that all RAMs are running @1600mhz. In 'memory' tab of 'CPU-Z', also 800mhz. But in 'spd' tab, it shows max bandwith is PC3-10700(667mhz) while all the RAMs are rated for PC3-12800(800mhz). And in addition, in the 'performance' tab of 'Windows Task Manager', it shows that the RAMs are running @1333mhz. I mean, whats going on..!! Which one is right..??

Help me out..!!

My system config is:-
CPU - intel core i7 870 2.93ghz; running at 3.2ghz (bclk 160mhz and ratio 20)
Motherboard - asus p7h55m
RAM - 4x4gb team dark ddr3-1600mhz (pc3-12800); cl 9-9-9-24
PSU - thermaltake toughpower 450w 80+
Boot Drive - samsung 840 pro 128gb ssd
OS - Windows 10 Pro

BIOS will be correct. Pretty sure it is IMPOSSIBLE for Windows to physically change that unless you fired up a program capable of modifying the BIOS from the motherboard manufacturer.

I had the same issue when I added another identical kit a year later, and for some strange reason Windows reported things incorrectly.

I did run MEMTEST86 to check the actual memory bandwidth and it was correct.

I doubt it would affect your performance in the slightest though as you should have enough for that CPU even on the lower amount.
