Whenever I play online games, watch videos or streams, or have voice chat services like discord in use my internet will drop randomly. No other devices on the network are affected, and I theorize it has something to do with the amount of bandwidth being used. (The connection drops more frequently when multiple services are used.)

When I go to speedtest.net I usually get 150+ mbps, and using a wireless USB adapater, an ASUS nano-adapater. (The adapter built-in to the the laptop can only connect to 2.4ghz and is extremely slow- about 20 mbps.)

I've already tried using other USB adapters, other USB ports, even using the built-in and still having the same issues. One pseudo-fix is that I disconnect from the network as soon as it drops, reconnect, and then everything's fine. Until 10 minutes later and the cycle continues. What can I do to fix this other than buy a new computer?
