Im using a i7 4790k and a few days ago my computer was running very sluggish so i went to restart and it came up with an error telling me that the CPU was running too hot (Cant really remember what it said but it was on the American Megatrends screen). I was using a corsair h100 at the time and i replaced it with the stock cooler and was allowing me to boot into windows (Keep in mind that i replaced the thermal paste with arctic silver 5).Now ,when the CPU is under load, it runs over 100C.
Never messed with any of the CPU's functions or tried to overclock it.
Thanks for the help in advance
