System starts and stops in half second after installing new graphics card

Hi,
I installed a new graphics card gigabyte GT 1030. After that my system starts and shuts itself down quickly. Like in half a second. If I remove this card things work fine and it boots up to windows. Here's my specs:
MB: gigabyte h110m S2
Kingston 4gb ddr4 2133mhz ram
Intel i3 6th gen processor
Mercury 450w PSU.
I am suspecting my old PSU (5 years). But things work fine when I remove the graphics card. I also tried disconnecting extra fan and optical drive but it didn't help. Moreover gt1030 needs just 30w power and draws all of it from PCI slot and doesn't need extra power. I don't have an extra PC to test if my new graphics card is the problem. Any help will be appreciated.

Yes, it's likely your poor quality power supply. It's not just the age or the wattage, that power supply is not close to a 450 watt one. Going by the image of that PSU, it has 20 amps on the 12 volt rail, which makes is close to a 240 watt PSU. A power supply of good quality will have almost all of the power on the 12V rail since that is the main one that the system draws power from. Since I'm guessing you are from India, in your area you should be able to find a Corsair CX or CXM power supply that will be a lot better and will run the video card.

The 430 watt CX430M from Corsair has 32 amps on the 12V rail, compared to 20 on your "450 watt" one.

You should also check for a newer BIOS for the motherboard before installing the card.

Thanks for your quick help. PSU was the problem. Yes I am from India. There was no CORSAIR with my vendor and I am on a budget (That should've been evident by my specs) and hence had to settle with CoolerMaster 450W with 38A on 12V line.
