Only 2 devices can use my wifi network

Okay, so I've got an Asus EA-N66 router set up in my apartment. It should distribute WiFi from my cable broadband which works like a charm on my cabled connection (100/30mbit). But I can only get two devices to work with the wireless router.

The router is set to 2,4GHz and Automatic channel selection (Have tried manual too, but that dint change anything).

The weird part about all this is that TWO devices will connect, a Sony Xperia Z3 (my personal phone) and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. NO OTHER WiFi devices will work with this network. Neither the Lenovo Thinkpad, Lenovo Yoga 720, HP something nor a Sony Xperia m4 Aqua will connect.

The WiFi network shows up fine, and the signal is nice and strong, but the devices will just stand forever in "Connectin" before I get the WiFi connection icon with an exclamation mark saying that I am connected but that there is no internet connection.

Solution
The EA-N66 is not a router. It is a WIFI access point or extender. It isn't a router. So, what device is acting as a router? It might be that you need a router and not an access point.

What IP address do the devices that work get? Private (192.168.x.y) or public ?

That might actually be right. I didn't know that that...

My phone has an IP adress that starts with 10.246.xxx.xxx
My tablet has an IP adress that starts with 109.189.xx.xxx

Any idea why it works so smoothly on some devices but not others then?
