Will an i7 7700k work with an h170 motherboard via bios update?

I currently have a Gigabyte H170-Gaming 3 paired with an i5 6400. I am planning to purchase an i7 7700k, use it with this motherboard and then at Christmas buy a z270 motherboard. I was wondering if the 7700k will be usable with a H170 board via bios update.

"Some Intel H170 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Kaby Lake-S CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."
