Currently have Arris Surfboard SBG6782-AC, but does not work well with NordVPN. Asus is supposed to work better with Nord. How can I connect the Asus to my coax internet?

Is this my answer? ActionTec ECB2200

It depends who in your house needs this NordVPN. VPN places a great load on a router, and can slow it down. If you connect in the way @Bill001g said, only people needing the VPN would connect to the Asus router. Others should connect to the Comcast router for maximum performance.
You can't connect it directly.

The simplest thing to do is just plug the asus wan onto the arris lan port and run router behind router. There are reasons not to do this mostly related to port mapping but you should be able to run a router based vpn on the asus and leave the arris in the path.

Otherwise you need to change the surfboard to run as only a modem.

Thank you for the help. Which of these would deliver the fastest internet for our home? If using the Arris as a modem only is best way to go, how do I do that? I may have found this answer under "Bridge Mode Setup".
