GTX 1060(220 new) or 980(175 used)?

I am making a mid-range 1440p Black and White PC (7700k, Z270, 16gb RAM), and I do not know whether to get the FE 980 that I can paint, or just get a new 1060. Thanks

The 1060 6 GB and 980 trade blows in performance.

IF the price difference between a 6 GB isn't huge, I'd go for the 1060. If it's only the 3 GB 1060, I'd go for the used 980 - still a good card.

That's pretty close in price and performance. As such I'd get the new one. Yes, more so if it's a 6GB 1060 though I suspect from the price it's a 3GB. (New 6GBs are running closer to $300.) Saving $45 isn't really worth the hassle of taking the chance on a used one.

i was stuck in a pickle with the same exact options lol except it was a 1060 6gb for 250 and a 980 for 200, went with the 980, performed the same pretty much
