Two different brand gtx 1080 sli

So right now my pc have an gtx 1080 evga ftw edition. I want to get another gtx 1080 for my birthday, but i want to cool looking gtx 1080 asus strix edition not another ftw. so would an evga gtx 1080 ftw sli with an asus gtx 1080. My current pc is asus maximus code, i7 7700k, gtx 1080 ftw, 850w psu. thank you.

thank you, i been trying to find that answer online the whole time and i came here because i don't want to buy it and it doesn't work.
BTW are you the one saying (hey lets leave the insults out of the forum) from my last question

i brought a new modem + router for better wifi speed,but i noticed that it was the modem that shuts down when i connect. but no one answered, so maybe you can help
