i just finished installing an IP Camera (Hikvision) and the damn thing is incredible in terms of resolution - hell, i can make out or view blades of grass at 110 feet by the mail box.
But the suggestion is for Tom's to have a page exclusive for security cameras - it's a growing market segment in terms of popularity. I almost fell for one IP Camera forum's shilling for Dahua cameras - while they do offer decent specs, their software is a joke - and when i pushed back i realized they were the only forum discussing Dahua and discussing dahua exclusively - every review (and there were many), the camera being reviewed had been provided by Dahua directly.
I tried to post a question about Hikvision and the thread was deleted. That's when i realized that forum was a shill for Dahua
