Solution
Yes, you can use any standard PSU in a new case.
But you're gonna have another problem. Alienware X51 doesn't have a removable I/O shield.
It's not gonna look very pretty.

You're going to want a 400+ watt PSU. Personally I recommend getting an 850 watt PSU, which should provide enough amperage to run SLI if you ever want to ebay a second ZOTAC GTX 1060 AMP card to run SLI. They're only $150 and should last 8-10 years.

It's compatible, but your power supply is too low wattage to handle that GPU. You'd have to upgrade your PSU in order to support the card. There's a complication with this because you can't just go out and buy a regular PSU since that model has a custom power brick. Pretty sure you can buy a 330w power brick, but even then I think the max you'd be able to handle is a 1050 ti. 1060 3gb recommended requirement is 450W, and you'd still be much below that.

I'm not sure if you can get any higher of a power brick for that model. You'd have to ask Dell.

Get a EVGA 850W gold or higher and you might never have to buy another PSU for at least 10 years (it has 10 years warranty and modular cables enough to power 2 cards with 4x8 pin).

Also your CPU will bottleneck you in the future since it's not K series and cannot be overclocked, 3000 Mhz is really low nowadays. If you can find a good 4770k or 4790k those CPUs (for gaming) compete with top tier i9 cards with a bit of OC. My 4770k has never been below 4 Ghz (base is 3.5Ghz)

But the CPU isn't that much of an issue, at most you'll lose some performance, a GPU/PSU upgrade are the biggest upgrades you can make for the cheapest price and highest wield of performance.

Alienware X51 PSU looks like this. It doesn't support standard desktop PSUs.
