I'm offered to swap a card, is it a good shot?

Currently have a silent build, minimum noise possible.
Only thing that is somewhat disturbing is a noise from a GPU, while it is loaded 80-100%.
Coil whine i suppose. It goes freaking LOUD when fps is over 100, i didn't expect it from a hi-end gpu, so i much of a dissapointed.
780TI Hall of fame with a listed coil whine, offered to swap without any additional payment on a cheapest 970, Gigabyte windforce, without backplate, lights or etc etc.
First revision.
Is it worth to swap it, or i loose too much in performance?
thx

Solution
You will lost about 10% performance if you make the change. Have you considered changing your fan curve on the 780ti? If your temps are okay you should be able to drop the fan curve some and limit the noise.

You best option if you don't like the noise is to go with water. But it is expensive and the 780ti is really not worth putting under water.

Temps are great, usually 60-75, never goes past 80.
Coil whine is not related to the fans, which is fine, its just, you know, COILS?
Nothing to do with it, only way to make them shut up is to put them into silicon, or any other non conductive heat ignoring substance, but that's not a wat to go with a hi-end gpu.
Anyway, 10% is a difference between default cards, 850mhz clock vs 1100mhz, but my one if HoF, and run at 1150, so i think thats not really 10%, more like 20 or so

You said "coil whine I suppose". I am not there to hear it and I have no idea if it is lout fans or coil whine. I am just trying to lower the noise without losing performance. Many people have no idea about a fan curve and I thought it might be a good place to start. I was just trying the HELP.

This is a form over function question. For me I would not make the change. I game with sound on or wear headphones, so it is not a problem for me. You may have a different setup where the noise is unacceptable. The problem is, this is the worst time to be looking for a GPU due to inflated prices. I would say get a decent 1060 or 1070 but those prices are so high right now they are not good buys.

Solution
Agreed. I was fortunate myself and scored an RX 480 8gb for 250 from a good friend of mine. To top it off, still got a year or so of the Microcenter warranty left that he purchased on it. Very nice upgrade from my old Radeon 7950. The case can get loud at times(I have a small case now), but I game with headphones on, so I'm not bothered too much.
