So I recently bought a 128gb Adata SU800 SSD and it came bundled with acronis true image for free. I installed the ssd, mobo bios recognised it, acronis true image recognised it and allowed for the cloning process to take place. and it did. but when i changed the boot priority, after cloning from my hdd, to the ssd it didnt boot. Is there something wrong with acronis? what is the best free cloning software?

thank you everyone who replies.

Acronis has worked for me. You could try Easeus.
What happens when you try to boot from the SSD? Does it not recognize it as a boot device? Does it get partway into the boot and fail? Are there any useful messages we might be able to use to help you solve the problem?

My bios recognises it as a boot drive but when i set it as the priority in the hard drive boot settings i get no boot into os. black screen. Acronis says the cloning was successful but booting doesnt work. i tried to boot back into my hdd, then format my ssd and try the cloning again but still nothing when i try to boot
