hi, so basically my 1060gtx Super Clocked model Fan gets REALLY loud at times when playing games.

It pretty much sounds like a jet plane (will be posting a video on it soon).

My question is if i can use this GPU mounting bracket?

http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=8_134&item_id=068364

for my 1060gtx ? Under specifications it shows up to 980gtx that it is compatible with, but wanted to know if it can work with my 1060gtx EVGA SC?

I did a little image searching, but didn't find anyone that had done it. Price/Performance doesn't make sense, for price of a pump and bracket you can get a GTX1070.

The fan will hang off the back so if you can't support a full length card, then that might be an issue. It also makes the card a little thicker, so if you don't have room for a triple slot card (or at least two and half slots worth), it isn't advisable.

If your temperatures are good, just try a custom fan curve to prevent the fan from revving all the way up.

Hmm, that is a good question. Might check some owner's clubs on overclock.net as well. On any of the larger cards I would say yes, but with this slightly smaller card with the GPU towards the back the G10 bracket might interfere with something if your case is a little cramped. I think it would easily fit the cooler, just not sure if that whole thing will fit in your case.

Since you seem willing to take the cooler off, have you tried applying your own thermal compound? Might make enough of a difference for you to live with it.

no i haven't taken off the cooler yet.. since it is single fan cooler for my GPU, i am not sure changing the thermal compound be enough.

I mean i am getting decent cooling, max on a summer day and a hot room like mine i get like 72c when playing GTA V or any high demanding game. Its the just noise i can't stand cause it sounds like a jet at full fan speed, and this is on auto factory settings, no OC done on my part.

But would like to use that bracket to install my 920 antec cooling that i use to use for my Intel cpu. Now i have it lying around, i would like to use the ANTEC 920 plus the bracket to cool my 1060gtx

Well have i have a HAF X full tower PC case, so in terms of space i should have plenty.

My main concern is that if i do decide to go with this NZXT bracket i just hope it fits with my current 1060gtx SC EVGA card.

Since i have a ANTEC 920 all in one watercooling unit not being used and lying around i thought i might as well use it for my 1060gtx card. I was thinking of just upgrading to 1070gtx, but here in toronto, canada PC hardwares are pretty expensive and GPUs being one of them, so don't have the money to really upgrade to a 1070gtx any time soon.
