Sound randomly disappears during gaming.

Hi All,

When I'm playing games, like Witcher 3 or Diablo 3 the sound randomly disappears and after a few secs it comes back.
This happens during gaming only, nothings wrong when watching FHD movies or listening to music.
The problem is probably linked to my new monitor which is connected via HDMI to the GPU. The previous monitor was used via VGA cable, the analog way.
I've reinstalled my windows, but the issue remains.
Only the audio interface is enabled.

AMD Phenom II X6 1035T
AMD Radeon R9 270 OC 2gb
9gb 1333mhz DDR3
Steinberg UR 22 MKII

In my case this was my sound card. You should also try the in game audio on a lower bit rate, dvd or cd quality bit rates from sound settings.
I have yet to diagonose if its my external xfi scard or its the pcie port. because after removing the sound card and running the audio from gpu hdmi the problem was resolved.

it can also be ur hdmi cable so try to run some music playlist while gaming and see which audio cuts out randomly. only in game or the music playlist as well.

also do you get lags or stutter or freezes when the sound breaks? in this case it would be a hardware level bottleneck. ram , hdd , cpu , gpu .

i am having this problem too on valorant the audio only dissapears but in genshin impact the game lags/freezes together with audio. My ram is 16 gb 3600 mhz, 850 evo 500gb ssd, r5 2600 and rx5700 xfx triple dissipation. Please Help :(
