Recently my Razer Mamba TE has been acting up. (I re-calibrated the mouse and reinstalled the software. I got the latest drivers as well.) So I've been thinking about buying a new one. Though I have a predicament. I need a mouse for FPS gaming, but mostly csgo. I'm not sure what to buy. I've been looked at the Razer DeathAdder, though I'm not sure I want another Razer mouse, the Logitech G Pro, the SteelSeries Sensei 310, and the Zowie EC1-A. (Other suggestions welcome). I eventually want to get into the competitive scene, if that's a factor needed to help. I don't need to have RGB, insane DPI settings, or a thousand extra buttons. I just need a mouse that will work well for FPS and should last me at least a year or two.

The Zowie is really popular for it's complete lack of software requirements. I have a few friends (casual and comp gamers) who love it. The one bad thing I've heard on it is the thumb button can get a bit loose over time. Slightly cheaper construction on that one part I guess. It runs a previous gen senor to the Logitech series, but chances are you won't notice the difference.

As for the Logitech G series. I was split between the Zowie and the Logitech G403 and ended up going with the Logitech because of fit. If you can, get in to a store and feel the Logitech G pro and G403. They're the same internals, but the G Pro is lighter and a bit smaller, where the G403 is a bit more ergonomic for righties and the thumb buttons come down a bit...

For me that was the big difference as I have a kinda stubby thumb and the larger button fit better than the G Pro. Other nice thing, the software you use with the logitech can be turned off/disabled in Windows and the settings will stay in memory with the mouse. So if you're like me and hate running mouse software all the time, you don't need it up unless you want it.

Also one last thing, if you're moving from the heavy Razer mamba to a lighter Zowie or Logitech (which was exactly what I did) you might want to look at one of these.

It sounds dumb, but the drag on the cord with the lighter mouse body makes a pretty noticeable difference. I kinda scoffed at it till a friend let me try it and I ended up buying one the next day. Avoid the knock offs, as they're really cheaply built and don't have the weight to make it stable.
