Solution
heres a nice one.https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284
you could search around and find it for a few dollars cheaper but this is a good cpu for your price range. what motherboard and ram are you going to be using?

1. roasted
2. the gt 730 is by no means amazing but its not bad either. i could play low to mid range games okay on my old Toshiba, (it was a not a good laptop) but i think that was my core

The GT730 is fine for Quake 3,Quake 4, or Medal of Honor, but, it's sure not where I'd want to start even an entry level gaming build around today. (It's barely a step up over integrated graphics in a 7700K in some games today....; which is too slow)

If not gaming, and just need a GPU to generate a display, it is great. however... :)

The GTX1050 is a good starting point today.

You would really use an FX-8350 when it's a 5 year old dead platform and the much newer and better R3-1300X exists? Let's think about this here.

its not that much better and has less cores but i suppose. also the 5 year old core does go well with the 5 year old cpu.

The R1200 (OC'd to 3.9 GHz) matches the i5-7400 in most games, which is a semi-nice place to be on an extreme budget. I'd certainly never advise actually paying a tad more for any FX processor...

Next tier up is R5-1400, and, if at all possible (fiscally), the R5-1600 is a VERY nice place to be at that pricing point!

FX is simply not a good investment no matter what your budget is. It's an old, outdated platform with zero paths for any real upgrade. They were terrible CPUs when they were new, why would they be any different now?
