I have an intel pentinum g4560 8gb 2133mhz ram gtx 1060 3gb and a h110m s2h mobo so I cant overclock my cpu

I was thinking about what cpu to get I thought a i5 7500 is good but what do u think?

Solution

The more cores the better, The i5 can stream but not as good as the i7 or a Ryzen 5 1600.

But you will be able to stream, it’s not that CPU expensive to stream nowadays, any good modern intel processor will handle it just fine. The lowest intel core i3 should still be able to stream if is paired to a capable graphics card.

Yeah it can do the job but not well. This is well documented at this point 4C/8T CPUs should only be used for streaming if it is your only option. Jumping to 6C/12T is a world of difference in frame rate. This link has some of the best video I have seen making that point.

Point being 4C/8T CPU will work but it is not ideal and should not be a streamers first choice for a CPU.

The i7 7700K has more horsepower than the 6 core Ryzen 5. actually been closer tho the 8 core Ryzen 7

If it was me, I would go with the 7700 or 6700. The 4 more threads will make a difference over the 7500 will make a difference. I would not pay more the for the "k" models. They are unlocked buy your motherboard cant overclock, so it is a feature you wont be able to use and the additional base clock speed is not worth the extra money. If you live near a microcenter, you can get a 7700 for $270.
