Might be shorting on something. Did you make sure there were no unused standoffs under the board? If your case supports many different versions of ATX it will have unused standoffs that you have to remove for us with a standard ATX board. Also make sure there are no loose screws floating around and all connectors are properly plugged in.

When i went to reseat the cpu and the new cpu cooler i guess i may have tightened it weirdly
