Hello guys,

well..this is my problem:

i have asrock b150a-x1

i have 8 gb kingston 2400 mhz fury black and is downclocket to 2133 cause of my motherboard. And yestarday i buy the same Ram but 2133 mhz
So i have one 2133 and one 2400 mhz. Will they work on dual chanel ?

Is this a problem for my pc ?

Solution
That is because 2133 is the stock speed. The RAM does not come already overclocked. It has just been tested to run at certain speeds. If you had a z170 board it will still run at 2133 after you install it. You would have to go in the bios and add an overclock to get higher speeds. So it is not downclocked at all, it is running stock. It is just not overclocked.

This is why you may not have any problems with the new stick of RAM. However, you might have a problem, but probably not. There are many ram manufacturers, but only a few actually make the memory chips. So one of your stick's memory chips may be made by SK Hynix and the other stick's memory chips were made by Samsung. Even though they are the same model of RAM...
RAM can be very finicky at times. Even if you pair sticks with the exact same model and speed there can be issues. This is why RAM is sold in kits as each stick is tested with each other to make sure they work together.

You will probably be fine with the new stick, but there is no guarantee. In fact, it may work fine for awhile and fine day have problems with it posting.
