So I am very new to the thin client world. I have a custom build PC that i use for photo and video editing, and I have a NAS drive set up as a media server as one of the hdds. I am wondering if there is a way to get a thin client and set it up with my home theatre projector so that i could use my computer and stream media from my pc to the thin client to the projector? No idea if this is possible, thanks for the info!
Just FYI there are crazy cheap thin clients available to me, just wondering how I can make use of them. Thanks

A thin client is just a small slow computer, you can set it up on the network and use it the same as any other computer. It can connect to your NAS to play the files on it. The question is, do you know how to setup a thin client? Does it have a normal OS on it? The normal way to use them is to load the full OS from a server, which you probably don't have. You can install Windows directly on it, but they will generally be pretty slow. You can always just get a computer on a stick and attach that to your projector's HDMI port instead.
