Hello everyone, I have problem with my USB Wireless adapter TP LINK TL-WN722N. First, when I want to download using Utorrent / Bittorrent client, my USB WiFi adapter keeps reconnecting. It automaticlly by itself disconnects and reconnects to internet network all over again. This is bothering me since I installed new MOBO,Graphics,RAMs and PSU.. But when I pause downloading torrent (game,movie..whathever) it doesn't disconnects at all,it is working normally. I tried every solution from here https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/forum/discussion/20296/torrenting-disconnect-s-my-internet .. So should I try to buy new one or is there any way to fix this thing? I have to wait 100mb file to download for hours sometimes, but my Download speed is usually 4 MB per second..

Any help??

Thank You so much on Your time. :)

you can have many versions of a driver, sometimes you have to remove the old version or select the new version as the default one. (using control panel, device manager, right mouse click on the device, select update driver, then select browse my computer for driver, then select let me pick from a list of available drivers.

on windows 10 you should get a list of drivers for your device with the date. on old versions of windows you just get a list of drivers with no date so you have to just guess. just checked on my dell machine and there were 17 versions of the network driver on this machine. The current one was not even selected.

I think TP LINK TL-WN722N uses a old Atheros chip, you need to check the date of the driver
which should be athurx.sys. See if you can find a updated version dated after 4/1/2012.
you should also check the date of your BIOS and make sure it is also dated after 4/1/2012

if all else fails you can go into windows control panel, device manager and set the driver to high performance mode so it will not go to sleep. Note: some bios verisons can also put your USB ports to sleep when idle. You have to check the BIOS usb settings. (read the description in bios for the setting, I have seen in under some strange names like EUR (European regulation)

I updated drivers but it didn't update athurx.sys driver. There is date which is showing last changes and that one is 5th January 2010th and dunno know how to update that one and just under him is athuwbx.sys which is last changed on 20th November 2013th.
