Is it possible to run a graphics card in 12x PCIe speed?

The new Z370/coffee lake motherboards have 24 PCIe lanes, so if I were to plug my two-way SLI GTX 1080's, can I run them in 12x and 12x, or no?

Solution
Depends on how the lanes are split, it could be 16x and 8x, but more likely 8x and 8x with other lanes for high speed connectivity (10Gbe, NVMe drives etc)

12x is not an option, only 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x. Fun fact PCI-Express can go to a max of 32x, but the connector would be huge and there is not a need for it.

The increase in PCIe lanes is not attributed to increasing PCIe slots. They'll still be x16 and x8.

The added PCIe lanes are for additional connectivity (M.2 among other things) and additional PCIe slots (potentially) that'll still be x16 or x8 respectively.
