Good pc low frames MC

In games like GTA V I am able to run at upwards of 90 fps at 4K, but in other games like Minecraft I am only able to run them at 100-400 frames (it fluctuates a lot). My friend has a GTX 1050 Ti, while I have a GTX 1080 and he runs at least 600 frames more than I do in Minecraft.

Specs:
Software: Windows 10
GPU: GTX 1080
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790K
RAM: 16 Gigabytes
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB
I don't think anything else matters.
If anyone has any fixes I could try, please reply.

600 fps faster than you with a 1050 Ti? Not likely unless you are running on very different frame rates. I don't think a 1050 Ti will run Minecraft on past 300 fps unless the settings are set bellow high. If Minecraft is set to high settings, even your system will be about the range you are seeing it at. Try another PCIe slot.
