Just got parts for a new build, and it gave a hardware failure code the first time I turned it on. Followed the advice on some older threads and "breadboarded" the build to test it a piece at a time. Also made sure everything was plugged in correctly.

When testing with just the motherboard, psu and processor, all the fans and lights come on, but I don't get any beep tones. So I'm pretty sure one of those three is culprit. I won't get to my main setup until later, so I can't really test them in another computer, so I was wondering what else I could to to try to figure out which has the issue.

One thing that sorta bothers me is how I would get beep tones after putting in ram if there is no memory failure code when the ram isn't there.

Thanks
